• Job Type: Travel Nurse — Operating Room Registered Nurse / Perioperative Nurse (Transplant)
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,020 – $2,130
• Location: Weston, Florida (33331) — South Florida / Broward County travel nursing
• Facility Type: Short Term Acute Care, Teaching Hospital (transplant program)
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks (May 4, 2026 – August 3, 2026)
• Shift: Day Shift, 3x12-hour (11:00 AM – 11:30 PM)
• Hours: 36 hours per week
• On-Call: 1 shift per week + two 12-hour weekend shifts per month (details discussed during interview)
• Charting / EMR: EPIC experience preferred
• Scrub Color: Ceil Blue
• Parking: Free in any unrestricted space

Job Requirements (Qualifications)

• Minimum 2 years direct liver/transplant operating room experience (required) — transplant OR RN or perioperative nursing in liver programs
• Experience with organ implantation procedures (not just harvesting)
• Proficient with MISONIX/CUSA and transplant surgical instrumentation
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license — Florida preferred; pending license accepted
• Required certifications at submission: ACLS, BLS; NIHSS must be obtained prior to start
• Nicotine-free (negative drug screen required)
• Willingness to participate in training and teaching (students and new staff)—teaching hospital environment
• All time-off requests must be submitted up front
• First-time travel nurses accepted (travel nursing / travel RN welcome)
• EKG and Pharmacology tests required during orientation (study materials provided)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide expert perioperative and intraoperative nursing care for liver, heart, lung, and kidney transplant patients
• Assist with organ implantation procedures and coordinate with multidisciplinary transplant teams
• Utilize MISONIX/CUSA equipment and maintain proficiency with transplant surgical techniques
• Float within scope to meet facility needs across OR specialties as a perioperative nurse
• Participate in teaching, training, and precepting of students and new staff in a teaching hospital setting
• Maintain strict infection control, specimen handling, and universal protocol compliance
• Complete time-sensitive onboarding modules and orientation requirements prior to start
• Adhere to facility policies, including smoke-free and strict compliance standards
