Job Details – Telemetry Travel Nurse (Olathe, KS)

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,990 - $2,090
• Position: Registered Nurse (RN) – Telemetry / Cardiac RN (Travel Assignment)
• Setting: Telemetry Unit (Cardiac 4N) – Cardiac telemetry nursing
• Location: Olathe, KS — Johnson County / Kansas City metro area
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks (May 10, 2026 – August 9, 2026)
• Shift: 12-hour nights (19:00 – 07:30), 3 shifts per week
• Hours per Week: 36
• Weekend Rotation: Every other weekend required
• Holiday Requirements: Memorial Day and July 4th required
• Orientation: 5 days (main campus, Olathe campus, and virtual Epic training)

Job Requirements / Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year recent Telemetry RN experience (telemetry nursing, cardiac telemetry)
• Experience with TR Band post-procedure care and management of cardiac drips (Heparin, Butamax, Lasix, Cardizem)
• Experience initiating and monitoring Tikosyn/Sotalol therapies
• Active Kansas RN license required
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Ability to float to all acute care units as needed (flexible acute care RN)
• Must attend full orientation and comply with nicotine-free facility policy
• Epic EMR experience preferred (electronic medical record charting experience)
• New graduates are not eligible

Telemetry RN Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care and continuous cardiac monitoring for telemetry patients
• Administer and titrate cardiac drips and medications per protocol
• Manage post-procedure patients with TR Bands and ensure appropriate assessments
• Initiate, monitor, and document Tikosyn/Sotalol therapy and associated safety checks
• Float to other acute care units as clinical needs require
• Accurately document patient care in Epic EMR and maintain timely charting
• Participate in scheduled weekend and holiday rotations
• Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, and interdisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality cardiac and telemetry care
