• Shift: Nights — 3x12-hour (19:00 – 07:30)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,830 – $1,930
• On-call: 8 hours per 6-week scheduling period
• Schedule Requirements: Every other weekend and holiday required; willingness to float to postpartum as needed

Job Requirements / Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years recent Labor & Delivery RN experience (L&D clinical experience required)
• Previous travel nursing experience required
• Active RN license: Maryland or compact state license accepted
• Certifications required at time of submittal: BLS and NRP
• C-EFM (through NCC) certification required at time of submittal
• ACLS preferred
• Flu vaccine required (no exemptions)
• Ability to work every other weekend and holiday; on-call participation per schedule
• Willingness to accept postpartum patients as needed
• Two (2) supervisor references required for travel nurse credentialing

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to laboring mothers and newborns in a Baby-Friendly Organization
• Manage triage, assessment, and continuous care of obstetrical patients in the L&D unit
• Assist with high-risk deliveries, C-sections, and emergency obstetric situations
• Monitor and interpret fetal heart rate patterns using C-EFM (NCC)
• Administer medications, IV therapy, and blood products as ordered
• Respond to obstetric emergencies and collaborate in rapid intervention teams
• Coordinate patient care with interdisciplinary teams including respiratory therapy, pharmacy, IV team, and ancillary services
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation and comply with hospital policies and protocols
• Participate in on-call rotation and provide coverage as scheduled; float to postpartum when required
