Job Requirements / Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years hospital experience as a CT Technologist (preferred in 500+ bed facility)
  • ARRT (R) and ARRT (CT) certifications required
  • BLS certification required
  • Experience with Siemens CT and GE CT scanners (Siemens experience required)
  • Proficiency with Epic and Visage charting/image management systems
  • Comfortable working in inpatient, Emergency Room, and adult ICU settings
  • Skilled in CT procedures: Abdomen/Pelvis, Head/Neck, Chest, Spine, MSK, Brain Perfusion, CT Angiography (CTA), Multiplanar Reconstruction
  • NC state radiologic technologist license or Compact State license (must be active by start date)
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced trauma environment and prioritize patient safety and radiation safety
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills; flexible and adaptable under high caseload conditions

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform high-quality CT imaging for a diverse patient population in the emergency department and trauma settings
  • Operate and optimize Siemens and GE CT scanners, ensuring image quality and patient safety
  • Provide timely imaging for routine, stroke, and trauma cases in a high-volume hospital
  • Use Epic and Visage for charting, image records, and workflow coordination
  • Follow hospital protocols, infection control procedures, and radiation safety standards
  • Assist with contrast administration and IV starts as required (CT contrast experience preferred)
  • Collaborate with radiologists, ER clinicians, and the multidisciplinary care team to support rapid diagnosis and treatment
  • Maintain departmental standards for patient identification, positioning, and documentation
  • Comply with department dress code (royal blue scrubs) and workplace policies

  • Patient ages: Infants, Pediatrics, Adolescents, Adults, Geriatrics
  • Typical caseload: 150–200 CT scans daily across 4 CT rooms
