• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• Holiday Policy: Agency staff not scheduled on holidays
• Nurse-to-Patient Ratio: Typically 1:4 on standard Med/Surg units; may vary by acuity

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of recent Medical-Surgical nursing experience required (no new grads)
• Active RN license in the assigned state; compact RN license holders encouraged to apply
• BLS certification required; ACLS and TNCC preferred
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required
• Strong proficiency with EPIC EMR; experience with documentation and medication administration systems
• Comfortable floating between multiple units including med/surg, step-down, and ED holds
• Demonstrated clinical judgment, reliability, and adherence to hospital policies and medication safety protocols

Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, patient-centered care across 9 med/surg and 5 step-down units, adapting to diverse patient populations
• Perform telemetry monitoring and med/surg nursing duties as Telemetry RN and Medical-Surgical RN
• Function independently with strong clinical assessment skills and prioritize care in a fast-paced environment
• Complete a short orientation at Main Campus and Women and Families units and integrate quickly with unit teams
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation in EPIC EMR and follow hospital documentation standards
• Uphold patient safety, infection control, and quality improvement best practices
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including physicians, therapists, and support staff, to achieve optimal patient outcomes
