Job Requirements / Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Pennsylvania (PA RN)
• Minimum 1 year of recent Emergency Room (ED/ER) nursing experience
• BLS certification (AHA or equivalent) required
• ACLS and PALS certifications preferred
• Experience with triage, rapid assessment, EKG interpretation, cardiac monitoring, and emergency interventions
• Strong critical thinking, clinical judgment, and communication skills
• Comfort working in a fast-paced, high-acuity emergency department environment
• EMR experience preferred (Epic, Cerner, or similar)

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in the Emergency Department including triage, assessment, stabilization, and treatment of acute and chronic conditions
• Perform rapid assessments, initiate emergency interventions, and participate in resuscitation efforts as needed
• Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, and the multidisciplinary care team to support optimal patient outcomes
• Administer medications, monitor vital signs, and manage IVs, medication drips, and advanced cardiac life support when required
• Document patient care accurately and promptly in the electronic medical record (EMR)
• Educate patients and families on diagnosis, treatment plans, and discharge instructions
• Maintain safety, infection control, and a supportive environment for patients and staff in the emergency department
