Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,370 – $2,500
• Location: Lancaster, PA 17602 (Lancaster County)
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Schedule: Monday – Friday, 4 x 10-hour shifts (7:00am – 5:30pm)
• No call, holidays, or weekends required
• Setting: Main Operating Room (Perioperative / Surgical Nurse role)
• Start Date: June 2, 2026

Job Requirements

• Active RN license in Pennsylvania (or eligible compact state RN license)
• Minimum 1 year of recent Operating Room RN experience (perioperative experience preferred)
• BLS certification (American Heart Association)
• Strong knowledge of perioperative nursing standards, sterile technique, and OR protocols
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and teamwork skills in a fast-paced surgical environment
• CNOR certification preferred but not required

Responsibilities

• Provide direct perioperative patient care in the Main OR, ensuring safety and comfort throughout surgical procedures
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and surgical teams to deliver high-quality surgical nursing care
• Prepare and maintain a sterile environment in the operating room; adhere to infection control and OR protocols
• Monitor patient status and respond promptly to intraoperative changes
• Document perioperative patient care accurately and in a timely manner
• Support multiple specialties as needed, including Thoracic Surgery, Surgical Pathology, Sub-Acute, Pediatric PACU, and Pediatric OR
• Assist with instrument handling, surgical counts, room turnover, and effective pre-op/post-op handoffs
