• Assignment Length: 13 weeks (local contract assignment)

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,090 – $2,200 (competitive pay for New Jersey nursing jobs)
• Shift: Variable; weekends required every other or 2 per month depending on needs
• Holiday: None required
• On-Site: Yes — must be onsite in the Emergency Department

Job Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of recent Emergency Department (ED) / high-volume ER experience required
• BSN required (Bachelor of Science in Nursing)
• Previous contract assignment experience preferred
• Active NJ RN license or Compact RN license required
• Current certifications: AHA BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS (must be valid on start date; expiring/pending not accepted)
• Ability to complete full orientation as scheduled (no rescheduling permitted)
• Maximum of 3 days RTO (Requested Time Off) accepted; no block scheduling or special requests

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality, compassionate emergency nursing care to adult and/or pediatric patients in a busy ED
• Assess, triage, and manage patients presenting with acute, emergent, and critical conditions
• Perform emergency nursing procedures and maintain competency in airway management, cardiac monitoring, and trauma care
• Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, respiratory therapy, lab, and other multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes
• Document assessments, interventions, and patient progress accurately in the electronic health record
• Adhere to hospital policies, regulatory standards, and compliance requirements for emergency care
• Participate in required orientation, training, and continuing education to maintain certifications and licensure during the assignment
