- Shift: 12-hour day shifts, 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
- Hours: 36 hours per week
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,910 - $2,010
- Charting System: MEDITECH 6.15
- Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
- Holiday Requirement: Every other holiday
- Orientation: 2 floor-specific shifts; completion of ORT during week one is expected
Job Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse license
- 5+ years of emergency room nursing experience
- At least 1 prior travel nursing assignment
- MEDITECH experience required
- BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, ASLS or NIHSS, and CPI required
- Strong clinical skills and the ability to work effectively in a high-volume Emergency Department
- Comfortable with patient ratios around 1:4
- Ability to work within submission and scheduling guidelines, including the 75-mile radius rule
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality nursing care in a busy emergency department
- Assess, triage, and stabilize patients across the lifespan, from pediatrics to geriatrics
- Support care for trauma, neuro, orthopedic, and stroke-related cases as appropriate
- Perform nurse-driven lab draws and start IVs when needed
- Work collaboratively with charge nurses, providers, paramedics, sitters, security, respiratory therapy, and pharmacy
- Document accurately in MEDITECH and follow unit protocols and safety standards
- Contribute to a team-oriented environment focused on efficient, compassionate emergency care
