Job Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of Registered Nurse ICU experience in a multispecialty critical care setting (CCU, SICU, MICU, Neuro, or CT)
• Active Massachusetts RN license
• BLS certification
• ACLS certification
• NIHSS certification
• Telemetry experience required, including the ability to independently read and interpret telemetry rhythm strips
• Diploma, ASN, or BSN preferred
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Basic computer proficiency and the physical ability to meet job responsibilities

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to ICU patients in a fast-paced, multispecialty critical care environment
• Assess, diagnose, plan, intervene, evaluate, and educate patients throughout the care process
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary care team
• Coordinate and delegate appropriate patient care activities to inter-professional colleagues
• Maintain accurate patient records and enter or interpret computerized clinical information
• Follow nursing department guidelines, policies, and best practices
• Support quality improvement initiatives and assist leadership as needed
• Provide flexible coverage as needed, including the potential to float to Med/Surg
