Operating Room RN Job Requirements

• Active Kansas RN license or Compact RN license
• AHA BLS certification
• At least 1 year of recent Operating Room nursing experience required
• Proficiency in one or more of the following surgical specialties: ENT, neurosurgery, or surgical oncology
• Ability to work night shifts and participate in on-call coverage as needed
• Strong teamwork, communication, and adaptability in a fast-paced surgical setting
• Prior Level I trauma experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, high-quality nursing care throughout the perioperative process
• Assist with surgical cases including ENT, neurosurgical, and oncology procedures
• Prepare the operating room, maintain sterile technique, and support seamless case flow
• Monitor patients before, during, and after procedures in accordance with OR standards
• Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and surgical techs to deliver excellent patient outcomes
• Adapt to floating assignments across OR areas as needed
• Respond to on-call needs and support coverage when scheduled
