Job Details
- Position: Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN) Travel Assignment
- Location: Madison, WI 53792
- Assignment Length: 17 weeks
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,290 - $2,410
- Shift Duration: 12-hour day shifts
- Shifts Per Week: 3 scheduled shifts per week, with potential for one additional 12-hour shift every other week
- Schedule: Day/Evening coverage with weekend rotation and weekday call requirements
- Setting: Operating Room, Tier 5 surgical services
- Charting System: Epic
- Start Date: 8/31/2026
Job Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license required
- BLS certification required (AHA only)
- Minimum of 2 years of recent acute care Operating Room experience in the specialty
- Experience with perioperative nursing, circulating RN duties, and complex surgical cases preferred
- Experience with urology, gynecology/oncology, kidney transplant, pancreas transplant, and robotic surgery
- Epic charting experience required
- Previous charge experience preferred
- Strong telemetry knowledge and successful completion of pre-start testing required
- Ability to work with adolescent, adult, and geriatric patient populations
- Must be adaptable, detail-oriented, and comfortable in a high-acuity surgical environment
Responsibilities
- Provide circulating RN support for complex operating room cases
- Assist with procedures including kidney transplant, hysterectomy, cystectomy, nephrectomy, ureteroscopy, HOLEP, and other robotic surgeries
- Support surgical teams using the Da Vinci Xi robotic system and related advanced equipment
- Maintain patient safety, infection control, and universal protocol standards throughout the perioperative process
- Prepare instruments, supplies, and specimens according to surgical case needs
- Support efficient OR flow while collaborating with physicians, anesthesia, and perioperative staff
- Float as needed based on facility needs and staffing requirements
- Contribute to a high-performing surgical environment focused on quality patient outcomes
