Travel Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) - Brooklyn/Baltimore, Maryland

Seeking an experienced Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse for a 13-week travel RN assignment in the Brooklyn/Baltimore, Maryland area. Join a high-acuity obstetrics team providing compassionate care to mothers, laboring patients, postpartum families, and newborns in a fast-paced hospital setting with strong interdisciplinary support.

• Shift Duration: 12 hours
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks
• Start Date: 8/25/2026
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,900 - $2,000
• Location: Brooklyn, Maryland area with convenient access to Baltimore waterfront, dining, and city amenities
• Orientation: 36 hours
• Scheduling: Every other weekend required; call required (2 shifts per 6-week schedule)
• Float: Mother/Baby and scrub backup as needed
• Local Candidates: Candidates within 60 miles may be considered

Job Requirements

• Current Registered Nurse license in Maryland or compact state licensure, as applicable
• Current C-EFM NCC certification required at time of submittal
• BLS, NRP, and STABLE required
• ACLS preferred
• Minimum 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery RN experience required; 3 years preferred
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Cerner experience preferred
• Charge nurse experience preferred
• Comfortable supporting high-risk obstetrical patients in a dynamic labor and delivery unit
• Ability to work nights, weekends, and call rotations

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate nursing care to laboring, postpartum, and newborn patients
• Assist with vaginal deliveries, C-sections, and high-risk obstetrical procedures
• Monitor fetal heart patterns and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition
• Support triage, antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum care
• Perform circulating duties, scrub backup, and Mother/Baby support as needed
• Administer medications and treatments per protocol, including IV therapies and obstetric interventions
• Collaborate with physicians, charge nurses, and interdisciplinary healthcare team members to promote positive outcomes
• Maintain accurate documentation and uphold patient safety and infection prevention standards
