Job Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Minimum of 1 year of current acute care hospital PCU or step-down experience required
- Current BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale certification required
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative acute care environment
- Cardiac experience and prior Meditech experience are preferred
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality nursing care to progressive care and step-down patients with medical and post-operative needs
- Monitor and assess patients recovering from surgical, cath lab, orthopedic, and cardiac procedures
- Administer and manage care for patients with conditions such as stroke, chest pain, renal failure, and respiratory failure
- Collaborate with charge nurses, PCTs, and the interdisciplinary care team to support excellent patient outcomes
- Maintain accurate documentation and patient monitoring using the designated EMR system
- Contribute to a positive, teamwork-focused unit culture that values communication, flexibility, and patient-centered care
