Job Details

• Position: Telemetry Registered Nurse (Tele RN)
• Employment Type: Travel Nursing Contract
• Location: Martinsburg, West Virginia
• Setting: Acute care telemetry unit / progressive care unit (PCU) level care
• Duration: 13 weeks
• Shift Duration: 12-hour nights
• Shifts Per Week: 4 shifts per week
• Hours per Week: 36 guaranteed hours
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,020 - $2,130
• Schedule: Rotating weekends and holidays; opportunity for charge nurse and precepting responsibilities
• Charting System: EPIC
• Unit Type: Telemetry / PCU-tele level care

Job Requirements

• Active RN license
• At least 1 year of recent telemetry nursing, cardiac monitoring, or acute care nursing experience
• BLS and ACLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA)
• Comfort working night shift in a telemetry and progressive care environment
• Ability to work every other weekend and holidays as needed
• Strong assessment, cardiac rhythm interpretation, and critical thinking skills
• Experience with EPIC preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to telemetry and progressive care patients in a fast-paced acute care setting
• Monitor cardiac rhythms and document strip interpretation according to unit protocol
• Care for patients with elevated troponins, chest pain, NSTEMI, post-cath recovery, pacers, and other cardiac or medical diagnoses
• Administer and monitor common telemetry drips per protocol
• Collaborate with hospitalists, respiratory therapy, pharmacy, and charge nurses to support safe patient care
• Float occasionally to similar overflow or med-surg settings if needed
• Support a safe, efficient, and patient-centered environment on both lower-acuity and high-acuity shifts
