CVOR Registered Nurse Travel Contract – Cardiovascular Operating Room RN Job in Philadelphia, PA

• Shift: 12-hour day shifts (7:00 AM - 7:00 PM)
• Weekly Hours: 36 hours per week
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Start Date: 09/14/2026
• End Date: 12/14/2026
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,580 - $2,720
• Call Requirement: 5 call shifts per month
• Orientation: 8 hours
• Charting System: Epic
• Work Environment: High-acuity cardiac surgery with occasional float to other OR specialties based on volume

Job Requirements

• Active Pennsylvania RN license or compact RN license required at time of submission
• Minimum 3 years of CVOR nursing or cardiac operating room experience
• Ability to both scrub and circulate cardiac surgeries
• Experience with CABG, aortic and mitral valve repairs/replacements, heart transplants, dissections, and LVADs
• Vascular and thoracic surgery experience preferred, including EVAR, TEVAR, TCAR, and open AAA procedures
• BLS certification required
• Must be comfortable floating to other OR services such as general surgery, urology, or ENT as needed
• Flu vaccine required with approved medical or religious exemptions only
• First-time travelers accepted if the required experience is met
• Scrubs provided

Responsibilities

• Provide expert perioperative nursing care for cardiovascular surgical patients
• Scrub and circulate a variety of complex cardiac procedures
• Support procedures including CABG, valve repairs and replacements, transplant, LVAD, and aortic repairs
• Assist with vascular surgery and thoracic surgery cases when needed
• Float to other OR specialties based on case volume and team needs
• Maintain a safe, efficient, and patient-focused surgical workflow
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and OR staff to deliver excellent patient care
• Participate in call coverage as scheduled
