Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Illinois, or confirmation that the application process has been initiated
• Minimum of 3 years of operating room nursing experience in an acute care or hospital OR setting
• BLS certification through the American Heart Association
• Ability to scrub as required in the perioperative environment
• Experience supporting a wide range of surgical specialties, including general surgery, GYN, urology, plastics, robotics, neuro, ortho, spine, EENT, and cardiothoracic procedures
• Must be able to provide the last four digits of SSN, middle initial, and any requested time off for submission
• Must be willing to complete a negative drug screen as part of a drug-free campus requirement

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, high-quality perioperative nursing care in a fast-paced operating room environment
• Circulate and scrub for a variety of surgical cases across multiple specialties
• Collaborate with charge nurses, surgical techs, and clinical support staff to maintain efficient room flow
• Prepare patients, equipment, and supplies for procedures while maintaining strict safety and infection-control standards
• Document patient care accurately in Epic and support smooth handoffs throughout the surgical experience
• Adapt to a high-volume caseload while delivering compassionate, patient-centered care
