This travel Cath Lab Registered Nurse opportunity offers the chance to support a high-acuity procedural team in Asheville, North Carolina. In this role, you will help prep and recover cardiac cath lab and EP lab patients while working in a collaborative environment that values precision, patient safety, and strong clinical judgment. - Schedule: Full-time travel assignment with on-call coverage as assigned
- Patient Ratios: 3-4:1 in pre/post; 1:1 intraprocedural
- Documentation System: Cerner
Job Requirements
- Active RN license
- Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience required; ICU or ED experience strongly preferred
- Previous procedural nursing or interventional radiology experience preferred
- Moderate sedation experience preferred
- Current ACLS and PALS certifications required
- Strong knowledge of cardiac diagnoses, vascular patients, chest tubes, and stroke-related care
- Ability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced cardiac cath lab environment
- Excellent communication, assessment, and teamwork skills
Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for cath lab and EP lab procedures
- Recover patients safely following invasive cardiac and electrophysiology procedures
- Monitor patient status closely before, during, and after procedures
- Support intraprocedural care with a focus on patient safety and clinical readiness
- Collaborate with physicians and procedural team members to ensure efficient workflow
- Document patient care accurately in the electronic medical record
- Maintain a calm, compassionate approach while caring for high-acuity patients
- Follow unit protocols, safety standards, and sedation monitoring practices
