Med-Surg Tele RN Travel Nursing Job in Philadelphia, PA

• Employment Type: Travel RN Contract
• Start Date: 09/14/2026
• End Date: 12/13/2026
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,930 - $2,030
• Shift: 12-hour day shifts (07:00 - 19:30)
• Shifts per Week: 3
• Hours per Week: 36
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• Holiday Requirement: Not scheduled on holidays, with availability expected around holiday periods as needed
• Orientation: Main campus orientation with a brief follow-up orientation at an additional campus location
• Interview Process: Virtual interviewing

Job Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of Med/Surg nursing experience
• Current RN certification/role
• BLS required
• NIHSS required
• ACLS and TNCC preferred
• Strong EPIC EHR proficiency required
• Ability to float between multiple inpatient units with confidence and flexibility
• Previous experience caring for adult medical-surgical and step-down patients preferred
• Must be comfortable working independently and maintaining strong clinical judgment

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive patient care across medical-surgical, telemetry, step-down, and med-surg hold areas
• Adapt quickly to varying patient populations, unit workflows, and staffing needs in a float pool setting
• Deliver safe, high-quality nursing care while following hospital policies and procedures
• Monitor, assess, and respond to changes in patient condition in a timely manner
• Collaborate with physicians, interdisciplinary team members, and unit staff to support positive patient outcomes
• Maintain accurate documentation and uphold medication safety standards
• Support a 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio on standard med-surg units, with acuity-based adjustments as needed
• Float across multiple units while demonstrating professionalism, adaptability, and teamwork
• Complete required orientation and follow all attendance and compliance expectations
