• Schedule: 12-hour night shifts, 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM
• Shifts per Week: 3
• Weekly Hours: 36 hours
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• Holiday Requirement: Shared holiday rotation
• Charting System: EPIC
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,020 - $2,130

Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• At least 1 year of Med/Surg, telemetry, or acute care nursing experience preferred
• BLS and ACLS required
• Ability to titrate cardiac drips and manage set-rate drips as needed
• Strong telemetry skills with the ability to read and interpret strips
• Experience caring for cardiac patients, post-cath patients, AMI, post-PCI, respiratory failure, chest tubes, pacemakers, and post-op lung surgery patients
• Comfortable floating to other Med/Surg/Telemetry units when needed
• Professional, adaptable, and team-oriented approach to patient care

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care for Med/Surg and telemetry patients in a fast-paced acute care setting
• Monitor cardiac rhythms and respond appropriately to telemetry changes
• Titrate ordered drips and administer cardiac medications per protocol
• Care for patients with conditions such as cardiac issues, respiratory failure, pacemakers, chest tubes, and post-operative thoracic needs
• Collaborate with the charge nurse, patient care team, and support staff to deliver safe, efficient patient care
• Document assessments, interventions, and patient progress accurately in EPIC
• Support safe staffing through flexible floating within similar Med/Surg/Telemetry areas as assigned
• Maintain a professional appearance and follow unit standards of practice
