Job Details

• Position: Travel Registered Nurse - Labor & Delivery
• Location: Carthage, TN 37030
• Type: Travel nursing assignment
• Duration: 13 weeks
• Start Date: September 14, 2026
• End Date: December 14, 2026
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,250 - $2,370
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
• Shift Duration: 12-hour nights
• Schedule: Overnight coverage with rotating every-other-weekend expectations and occasional call coverage
• Setting: Labor & Delivery, Nursery, and Post-Partum units

Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse license in Tennessee
• Minimum of 1 year of Labor & Delivery nursing experience
• Current ACLS, BLS, NRP, and AWHONN certifications
• Experience with fetal monitoring and couplet care preferred
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced maternity care setting
• Positive attitude, strong initiative, and a cooperative team mindset
• Willingness to float as needed within postpartum and nursery areas

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate care to mothers and newborns across Labor & Delivery, Nursery, and Post-Partum units
• Monitor labor progression, fetal status, and maternal wellbeing
• Support admissions, assessments, medications, and ongoing patient care throughout the birth experience
• Collaborate with the care team to promote healthy outcomes for patients and families
• Assist with couplet care and newborn support as needed
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation in the electronic health record
• Respond appropriately to changing patient needs in a dynamic maternity unit environment
