• Orientation: 1-2 shifts with a preceptor

Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• BLS certification required
• Ability to care for a varied medical-surgical patient population
• Comfortable reading and interpreting telemetry strips
• Experience with EPIC electronic health records (EHR) is a plus
• Flexibility to work weekends and occasional holiday rotation
• Strong clinical judgment, teamwork, and communication skills

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate nursing care to adult medical-surgical patients in an acute care setting
• Monitor patient conditions, recognize changes, and respond appropriately
• Administer medications and treatments according to established protocols
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to support timely, effective patient care
• Document accurately in EPIC and maintain high standards of charting
• Support patients with common diagnoses such as CHF, pneumonia, COPD, renal disease, orthopedics, and oncology-related medical care
• Work effectively with charge nurses, CNAs, and interdisciplinary staff
• Contribute to a positive, traveler-friendly unit culture in a welcoming West Virginia healthcare environment
