Med/Surg Tele Registered Nurse (Travel RN) - Philadelphia, PA

Experienced Med/Surg Tele Registered Nurse needed for a 12-week travel nursing assignment in Philadelphia’s Center City area. Join a collaborative medical telemetry team, care for adult patients, and work with Epic in a fast-paced acute care setting with strong interdisciplinary support.

Job Details

• Setting: 39-bed medical telemetry unit
• Location: Philadelphia, PA 19107
• Assignment Length: 12 weeks
• Shift: 12-hour night shifts, 3 shifts per week
• Hours: 36 hours per week
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,950 - $2,060
• Charting System: Epic
• Orientation: 12 hours
• Patient Population: Adult medical-surgical and telemetry patients

Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum of 2 years of recent Med/Surg Tele, telemetry, or medical-surgical nursing experience
• Telemetry monitoring experience required
• BLS certification required
• Experience with Epic charting preferred
• BSN preferred; ASN accepted
• Ability to work every 3rd weekend
• Willingness to float to one additional unit as needed
• Flexibility to support required holiday coverage

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate patient care to adult medical telemetry patients
• Monitor cardiac rhythms and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition
• Care for patients with complex medical needs, including respiratory, gastrointestinal, sepsis, and substance withdrawal management
• Administer and manage therapies such as oxygen, HFNC, CPAP, BiPAP, IV infusions, and telemetry monitoring
• Support patients requiring drain, tube, line, tracheostomy, and ventilator-related care
• Collaborate with respiratory therapy, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, and rapid response teams
• Educate patients and families while helping coordinate safe care transitions
