• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Shift: 12-hour nights
• Shifts per Week: 3
• Hours per Week: 36
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,860–$1,960
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend required
• Interview Process: Virtual interview

Emergency Department RN Requirements

• Active Pennsylvania RN license
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience
• At least 1 year of recent, hands-on emergency room nursing experience
• Experience in high-acuity ED or acute care settings required
• No new graduates; independent bedside experience required
• Strong airway and respiratory experience, including breathing treatments, CPAP/BiPAP, mechanical ventilation, RSI medication administration, procedural sedation, chest tube setup and care, and tracheostomy care
• Comfortable working with trauma, cardiac, neurologic, medical/surgical, burn, behavioral health, and pediatric cases
• Ability to care for pediatric and NICU/PICU boarders while held in the ED
• Must be available for a fixed 13-week travel nursing schedule with no special schedule requests

ER Nurse Responsibilities

• Provide skilled emergency nursing care for a broad range of patients across infant, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric populations
• Assess, stabilize, and monitor patients presenting with trauma, critical illness, and acute medical concerns
• Perform and support advanced emergency department interventions, including respiratory and airway management
• Collaborate with physicians, ED techs, and interdisciplinary team members to deliver timely, high-quality patient care
• Manage high-acuity assignments with confidence, efficiency, and strong clinical judgment
• Support treatment of behavioral health crises and inpatient boarders in the emergency setting
• Maintain accurate documentation and contribute to safe patient flow in a busy Philadelphia emergency department
• Provide compassionate, patient-centered care in a fast-paced travel nursing environment
