- Shift: 12-hour nights
- Shifts per Week: 3
- Hours per Week: 36
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,860–$1,960
- Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend required
- Interview Process: Virtual interview
Emergency Department RN Requirements
- Active Pennsylvania RN license
- BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS certifications required
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience
- At least 1 year of recent, hands-on emergency room nursing experience
- Experience in high-acuity ED or acute care settings required
- No new graduates; independent bedside experience required
- Strong airway and respiratory experience, including breathing treatments, CPAP/BiPAP, mechanical ventilation, RSI medication administration, procedural sedation, chest tube setup and care, and tracheostomy care
- Comfortable working with trauma, cardiac, neurologic, medical/surgical, burn, behavioral health, and pediatric cases
- Ability to care for pediatric and NICU/PICU boarders while held in the ED
- Must be available for a fixed 13-week travel nursing schedule with no special schedule requests
ER Nurse Responsibilities
- Provide skilled emergency nursing care for a broad range of patients across infant, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric populations
- Assess, stabilize, and monitor patients presenting with trauma, critical illness, and acute medical concerns
- Perform and support advanced emergency department interventions, including respiratory and airway management
- Collaborate with physicians, ED techs, and interdisciplinary team members to deliver timely, high-quality patient care
- Manage high-acuity assignments with confidence, efficiency, and strong clinical judgment
- Support treatment of behavioral health crises and inpatient boarders in the emergency setting
- Maintain accurate documentation and contribute to safe patient flow in a busy Philadelphia emergency department
- Provide compassionate, patient-centered care in a fast-paced travel nursing environment
