- Shift Duration: 12-hour day shifts
- Shift Hours: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM
- Schedule: Every other weekend required
- Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,910 - $2,010
- Openings: 4
- Orientation: 2 floor-specific shifts
Job Requirements
- Active RN license eligible for submission
- Minimum 5 years of nursing experience in emergency or acute care nursing
- At least 1 prior travel nurse assignment
- Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, CPI, and NIHSS or ASLS certification
- Prior experience with MEDITECH charting required
- Ability to work in a high-volume emergency department with strong clinical judgment
- Experience with trauma, neuro, ortho, and mixed-acuity emergency patients preferred
- Comfort completing ORT during week one prior to start
Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care in a busy emergency department seeing approximately 180-200 visits per day
- Perform triage, assessment, stabilization, and ongoing monitoring of emergency patients
- Manage patients from pediatric through geriatric populations, including trauma and neuro cases
- Start IVs, obtain lab draws, and support emergency interventions as needed
- Collaborate with physicians, APPs, charge nurses, paramedics, and respiratory therapy staff
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation in MEDITECH
- Follow unit protocols for behavioral health, seclusion areas, and patient safety support
- Work scheduled weekend rotations and remain flexible within the needs of the department
- Wear Caribbean Blue scrubs in accordance with unit standards
