• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,800 - $1,890
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Shift: 12-hour day shifts
• Hours per Week: 36
• Weekend Requirement: Minimum 6 weekend shifts (Saturday/Sunday day or night) per 6-week schedule period
• Call: No call required
• Floating: May float to stepdown, medical-surgical, or ER inpatient holding areas as needed

Job Requirements

• Active RN license
• Minimum 1 year of recent stepdown or telemetry nursing experience required
• Experience caring for cardiovascular and vascular surgery patients strongly preferred
• ACLS and BLS required
• Strong clinical judgment and comfort working in a fast-paced, team-oriented hospital setting
• Ability to adapt to floating assignments when needed
• Cerner experience is a plus

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate care for cardiovascular progressive care and stepdown patients
• Monitor and manage patients recovering from open heart, vascular, thoracic, and related procedures
• Care for overflow medical cardiology patients with diagnoses such as heart failure, chest pain, sepsis, DKA, and heart block
• Perform and support chest tube management, epidural management, tube feedings, and IV glucose management
• Manage cardiac drips and therapies such as phenylephrine, dobutamine, dopamine, milrinone, amiodarone, insulin, heparin, nitroglycerin, and more
• Collaborate closely with physicians, charge nurses, and the interdisciplinary care team to ensure excellent patient outcomes
• Maintain accurate documentation and patient monitoring using the EMR system
• Contribute to a flexible, team-focused culture that values strong clinical skills, adaptability, and quality patient care
