Job Requirements
- Active Illinois Registered Nurse license in hand
- At least 1 year of pediatric nursing experience
- Experience in pediatric emergency nursing or emergency department care preferred
- BLS certification required
- PALS certification required
- Epic experience preferred; candidates without Epic experience may be required to complete training
- Ability to work rotating weekends
- Strong clinical judgment, adaptability, and excellent communication skills

- Provide high-quality nursing care to pediatric patients in the emergency setting
- Assess, monitor, and respond to changing patient conditions with urgency and accuracy
- Administer medications and treatments according to established protocols
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and care team members to support safe, effective patient care
- Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately in the charting system
- Maintain a patient-centered approach while supporting families through the care experience
- Adapt quickly to a fast-paced clinical environment and contribute to smooth unit operations
