• Duration: 13 weeks
• Start Date: September 21, 2026
• Shift: 12-hour nights
• Shifts per Week: 3
• Hours per Week: 36
• Orientation: 24 hours
• Call Requirement: 2 shifts per 6-week schedule period
• Weekend Coverage: Every other weekend or 2 weekends per month
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,020 - $2,130

Job Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of current Labor & Delivery nursing experience
• Current RN license in Tennessee or compact license in hand at time of submission
• ACLS, BLS, AWHONN Intermediate, and NRP required
• NIHSS required or obtainable after acceptance
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Experience with charting systems required; any system experience is acceptable
• Certifications and licensure must remain valid for at least 45 days from the start date
• Ability to work floating assignments as needed

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate care for patients in Labor & Delivery, postpartum, and couplet care
• Monitor and support laboring patients, including high-risk antepartum cases and obstetrical triage
• Assist with high-risk deliveries, circulate for C-sections, and recover C-section patients
• Perform sterile vaginal exams and support labor management interventions
• Manage common obstetrical therapies including IUPC placement/calibration, magnesium sulfate, insulin drips, anticoagulation therapy, and antihypertensives
• Maintain central lines as needed and follow isolation precautions and PPE protocols
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare team members to deliver coordinated patient-centered care
• Adapt to patient acuity and unit flow while maintaining strong attention to safety and quality
