• Assignment Length: 13 weeks
• Shift: 12-hour nights
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
• Setting: Acute care ICU with advanced critical care equipment and procedures

Job Requirements

• Active Texas RN license required; temporary license will not be accepted
• Minimum of 2 years of hospital experience required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• MICU or MSICU experience required
• Experience with Meditech preferred
• CCRN preferred
• Strong critical thinking skills and the ability to work confidently in a high-acuity critical care environment

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality bedside care to critically ill patients in the MICU
• Monitor patient status and respond quickly to changing clinical conditions
• Support ICU procedures including central line placements, thoracentesis, dialysis catheter placements, cardioversions, intubations, and other advanced interventions
• Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary care team to deliver safe, effective treatment
• Document care accurately in the electronic medical record
• Float as needed within policy and unit needs
• Maintain professional appearance and follow unit guidelines for attire and grooming
