• Duration: 13 weeks
• Schedule: 3 x 12-hour night shifts per week
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,910 - $2,010
• Unit Highlights: Diverse patient population including stroke, post-operative, wound care, altered mental status, CIWA, AKI, dialysis, COPD exacerbations, and comfort care/hospice patients

Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• At least 1 year of Med/Surg nursing experience required
• Stroke certification or willingness to work in a stroke-focused environment
• NIHSS certification required
• Ability to work 3 twelve-hour night shifts per week
• Availability for every other weekend and every other holiday
• Strong assessment, communication, and critical thinking skills

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate, and high-quality care to adult medical-surgical patients
• Manage a varied patient population, with a strong emphasis on stroke care
• Care for post-operative patients, including those with amputations, drains, chest tubes, and feeding tubes
• Administer and monitor therapies such as heparin drips, wound care, and dialysis-related care
• Support patients experiencing altered mental status, CIWA needs, AKI, and COPD exacerbations
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to promote positive outcomes and timely interventions
• Maintain accurate documentation and uphold professional standards in a fast-paced Med/Surg unit
