Job Details

• Position: Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical (Med/Surg)
• Employment Type: Travel Nursing Assignment
• Schedule: 12-hour night shifts, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Shift Duration: 12 Hour Nights
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Weekly Hours: 36
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,800 - $1,890
• Weekend/Holiday Rotation: Every other weekend and every other holiday
• Setting: Blended adult Med/Surg unit with Swing Bed and occasional PCU patients
• Location: Murphysboro, IL 62966

Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse license in the state of Illinois or eligibility to obtain it
• At least 1 year of acute care nursing experience preferred
• Med/Surg, Swing Bed, or progressive care unit experience is a plus
• Ability to work night shifts and participate in an every-other-weekend and holiday rotation
• Strong communication, teamwork, and patient assessment skills
• Comfortable caring for patients with varying levels of acuity in an inpatient hospital setting

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality bedside care to adult Med/Surg patients
• Care for Swing Bed patients and support occasional PCU-level assignments as needed
• Balance assignments based on patient acuity and nursing workload
• Collaborate with supervisors and healthcare team members to ensure safe, efficient care delivery
• Monitor patient status, administer treatments, and document care accurately
• Support a positive unit culture focused on quality, safety, and teamwork
