Job Details

• Shift: 12-hour night shifts, 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM
• Schedule: Monday through Friday with weekend rotation and holidays as needed
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks
• Orientation: 24 hours
• Patient Ratio: 1:4 on days, nights, and weekends
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,070 - $2,180
• Location: Madison, WI 53792

Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum 2 years of acute care inpatient RN experience within the last 3 years in the specialty
• Epic charting experience required
• BLS certification from AHA required
• Telemetry exam required prior to start
• Strong Med/Surg and telemetry clinical skills
• Ability to float as needed
• Ability to thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced healthcare environment

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, high-quality nursing care to adult and geriatric neuro Med/Surg Telemetry patients
• Monitor telemetry rhythms and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition
• Care for patients recovering from spine surgeries, craniotomies, brain tumors, stroke, MS, ALS, Guillain-Barre syndrome, and other neurological conditions
• Administer medications, manage IV therapy, and complete ongoing patient assessments
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response support
• Educate patients and families while promoting patient-centered care
• Document accurately in Epic and follow unit protocols and safety standards
• Support weekend coverage, holidays, and floating assignments as needed
