We are seeking a skilled Progressive Care Unit Registered Nurse to provide high-quality care for patients with complex medical needs. In this PCU nursing role, you will use your clinical judgment, communication skills, and teamwork to help deliver safe, effective outcomes in a supportive hospital environment.

• Assignment Length: 13 weeks
• Start Date: 8/30/2026
• Shift: 12-hour day shifts, 6:45 AM to 7:15 PM
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,020 - $2,130
• Setting: Progressive Care Unit (PCU)

Job Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of acute inpatient PCU experience
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale proficiency/certification
• Epic experience required
• Ability to float within scope as needed
• Strong critical thinking, communication, and teamwork skills
• Ability to provide safe, efficient care in a fast-paced hospital environment

Responsibilities

• Perform thorough patient assessments and reassessments according to policy and patient condition
• Initiate, prioritize, and implement individualized plans of care
• Monitor and document patient responses to clinical interventions
• Coordinate and provide education for patients and families
• Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary team members to support patient outcomes
• Delegate tasks appropriately to licensed and non-licensed personnel
• Promote safety, quality, and service improvement efforts
• Adapt to changing unit needs while working within scope and maintaining professional standards
