Travel RN Job Details

• Position: Travel Med/Surg Registered Nurse (Medical-Surgical RN)
• Setting: Acute-care medical-surgical unit
• Location: Weirton, WV 26062
• Schedule: 12-hour night shifts; weekends as scheduled
• Hours: 36 hours per week
• Duration: 13 weeks
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,930-$2,030
• Start Date: 8/20/2026
• Charting System: EPIC
• Openings: 2
• Floating: May float to other Med/Surg, Med-Surg Tele, or IMC areas for lower-acuity patients

Job Requirements

• Active RN license required
• Minimum of 1 year of Med/Surg or acute-care nursing experience
• BLS certification required
• First-time travelers are welcome
• Ability to work every other weekend and participate in holiday rotation as scheduled
• Flexibility to support shift coverage and floating needs
• Comfort with common medical-surgical diagnoses such as pneumonia, UTI, altered mental status, GI bleed, alcohol withdrawal, and falls/weakness

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate, patient-centered care to a diverse Med/Surg patient population
• Complete patient assessments, monitor conditions, and respond to changes in status
• Administer medications and support treatment plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary care team
• Assist with titratable drips as appropriate, excluding cardiac drip titration
• Perform routine clinical tasks including vital signs, blood glucose checks, EKGs, and cardiac monitor application
• Support patient comfort and basic care needs such as bathing, feeding, toileting, turning, and positioning
• Collaborate closely with charge nurses, nursing assistants, respiratory therapy, and telemetry support
• Document nursing care accurately and efficiently in EPIC
