Contract Length

• 13 weeks

Shift

• Nights, 12-hour shifts
• 48 hours per week

Unit Overview

• Medical-surgical ortho/neuro unit
• 21 beds
• Telemetry monitored remotely
• Floating may be required to any medical-surgical unit except the emergency department and behavioral health

Required Qualifications

• Active BLS certification
• NIHSS
• Must have a driver’s license copy submitted with the application
• Driver’s license address must be outside 50 miles from the facility
• Basic arrhythmia knowledge and ability to recognize fatal rhythms

Preferred Qualifications

• ACLS

Schedule / Work Expectations

• Every other weekend
• Holidays as needed based on unit needs
• Attendance is very important

Clinical Setting / Patient Population

• Common patients include totals, spines, occ burr holes, seizures, cranies, brain stim, traction for hips on nights, Bucks traction, and med-surg overflow

Unit Details

• Charge nurse available 24/7
• No IV team
• Respiratory therapy in-house 24/7
• Pharmacy in-house 24/7
• Nurse aides are PCTs

Orientation

• 1 shift with a preceptor
• Net Learning Modules and EPIC included in orientation
