• Hours: 36 hours per week
• Weekend Requirement: 3 weekend shifts in 4 weeks
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,020 - $2,130

Job Requirements

• Active Indiana RN license or compact RN license
• BLS certification through AHA
• Minimum 1.5 years of Level I, Level II, or tertiary care experience
• At least 1 year of experience in a large hospital setting (450+ beds)
• Experience with Epic charting preferred
• Strong clinical skills in a fast-paced medical-surgical nursing environment
• Ability to float to other medical units as needed

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive medical-surgical nursing care to a diverse adult patient population
• Perform patient assessments, develop care plans, and complete ongoing monitoring
• Collaborate effectively with the interdisciplinary healthcare team
• Administer and monitor IV therapy, heparin drips, and insulin drips
• Use and manage equipment such as IV pumps, feeding pumps, wound vacs, telemetry monitors, and blood glucose testing systems
• Care for patients with respiratory, GI, infectious, neurological, and behavioral health conditions
• Assist with care surrounding procedures such as colonoscopies, thoracentesis, paracentesis, bronchoscopy, and minor surgeries
• Float to other medical units based on patient care needs and unit priorities
