Job Requirements
- Graduate of an approved School of Nursing
- Current New Hampshire RN license required, or eligibility to obtain one
- BLS certification required
- ACLS certification required
- Clinical experience in Emergency Room, Emergency Department, or acute care settings preferred
- Strong assessment, documentation, communication, and patient safety skills
- Ability to work effectively with patients, families, physicians, and interdisciplinary healthcare team members
Responsibilities
- Provide direct and indirect patient care in the Emergency Room / Emergency Department setting
- Complete patient assessments on admission, including vital signs, medical history, lab work, x-rays, and other diagnostic testing
- Assist with the planning and implementation of individualized care plans under physician direction
- Administer medications safely and accurately in accordance with nursing standards
- Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential clinical documentation
- Promote patient safety while delivering high-quality, compassionate emergency nursing care
- Collaborate positively with team members and adapt to the fast pace of the ER environment
