- Setting: Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR)

- Contract Duration: 13 weeks
- Weekly Hours: 36 hours per week
- Shift Duration: 12-hour day shifts
- Shift Pattern: 3 shifts per week, with occasional weekday call and one full weekend of call every 5 weeks
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,810 - $2,960
CVOR RN Job Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Minimum of 2 years of OR RN experience with recent cardiovascular / open heart operating room experience
- Prior travel nurse experience required
- BLS certification required
- CNOR certification preferred
- Strong scrub experience with cardiac and open heart cases required
- Experience in a large academic medical center or teaching hospital required
- Epic experience within the last 2 years required
- Must be flexible with scheduling and willing to support unit needs
- Must be prepared to explain any employment gaps over 90 days
- Reliable transportation is strongly recommended
CVOR Registered Nurse Responsibilities
- Provide expert circulating and scrub support for cardiovascular and open heart surgical procedures
- Deliver safe, compassionate, and high-quality perioperative patient care
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiology, and surgical team members in a fast-paced OR environment
- Support weekday call coverage and scheduled weekend call rotation as needed
- Float to other operating room suites when needed, including general surgery, orthopedics, neurosurgery, ENT, and other surgical cases
- Maintain accurate documentation and workflow efficiency using Epic
- Adapt quickly to evolving surgical needs while maintaining strong patient safety and clinical standards
