- Position: CVOR Registered Nurse (OR RN / Cardiovascular Operating Room Nurse)
- Employment Type: Travel Nursing Contract
- Location: Burlington, VT 05401
- Start Date: 10/05/2026
- Duration: 26 weeks
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $3,120 - $3,290
- Shift: 10-hour rotating shifts; flexible scheduling to support unit needs
- Hours Per Week: 40
- Call Requirements: Weekday and weekend call coverage as needed
- Holiday Commitment: Must work 2 of 4 major holidays
- Setting: Large academic teaching hospital
Job Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Minimum of 2 years of OR RN experience with recent, high-level cardiovascular and open heart operating room experience
- Prior travel nursing experience required
- BLS certification required
- CNOR certification preferred
- Epic experience within the last 2 years required
- General operating room experience required
- Strong communication skills and the ability to adapt quickly in a team-oriented perioperative environment
- Must be flexible with scheduling and call expectations
- Reliable transportation recommended
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality perioperative nursing care in the cardiovascular operating room
- Support open heart and cardiovascular surgical procedures with confidence and precision
- Circulate in other OR suites as needed, including general surgery, orthopedic, neuro, and ENT cases
- Maintain excellent patient safety standards throughout the surgical and perioperative process
- Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesiology, and the perioperative care team
- Respond to call coverage requirements, including weekday, weekend, and holiday needs
- Document accurately in Epic and follow established surgical workflows
- Adapt to unit needs while delivering compassionate, patient-centered care
