Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• BLS certification from AHA required
• Minimum 2 years of recent acute care Operating Room experience required
• Strong background in general surgery and complex surgical cases
• Epic EHR experience required
• Comfortable with high-acuity procedures including trauma, burns, HIPEC, Whipple, organ procurement, kidney transplant, and robotic surgery
• Ability to adapt in a fast-paced surgical environment and support conversion from laparoscopic to open procedures when needed
• Willingness to participate in weekend rotation and weekday call
• Telemetry exam required prior to start

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, skilled nursing care in the Operating Room across a broad range of surgical cases
• Assist with procedures such as general surgery, laparoscopic surgery, robotic DaVinci Xi cases, trauma, burns, and organ procurement
• Maintain readiness for advanced surgical support, including vascular involvement and complex intraoperative needs
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and perioperative team members to ensure excellent patient outcomes
• Use critical thinking and technical expertise to support high-acuity adult surgical patients
• Follow sterile technique, safety protocols, and infection prevention standards at all times
• Float as needed within scope and remain flexible to meet unit demands
• Deliver professional, compassionate care while contributing to a strong team culture
