• Schedule: 3x12-hour shifts per week; every other weekend required

Job Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of recent nursing experience required
• Active Illinois RN license required at time of submission
• BLS and NIHSS required
• ACLS preferred
• Travel nursing experience required
• Experience in telemetry, stepdown, PCU, DOU, or IMC strongly preferred
• Comfort managing cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmias, and rapid response situations
• Ability to work every other weekend
• Comfort floating within scope to meet facility needs
• Cerner experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality bedside care to cardiac stepdown and intermediate care patients
• Monitor telemetry, interpret rhythm changes, and respond appropriately to cardiac events
• Care for patients with complex cardiovascular, respiratory, neurological, and post-operative needs
• Administer medications and manage therapies such as cardiac drips, vasoactive drips, heparin protocols, and procedural sedation support as ordered and within scope
• Perform and support advanced nursing care including IV therapy, central line care, phlebotomy, feeding tube care, and wound management
• Manage patients requiring respiratory support such as BiPAP/CPAP, high-flow nasal cannula, tracheostomy care, and ventilator support
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including respiratory therapy, radiology, pharmacy, rapid response, and other support services
• Deliver safe, compassionate patient care while maintaining strong communication with the care team
