Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Cardiovascular ICU/Stepdown position requiring at least three years of relevant nursing experience and an active Illinois RN license.

Details

• CV Stepdown unit providing direct care to CVICU patients, including post-op CABG, vascular, and ICU status patients
• Night shift schedule of three 12-hour shifts per week (1900-0730)
• 5-6 weekend shifts required per 6-week schedule
• Holiday coverage required on a department rotation basis
• No floating required
• Uses Epic charting system

Requirements

• Active Illinois RN license in good standing required (temporary license accepted)
• BLS and ACLS certification (American Heart Association) required
• Minimum of three years of relevant nursing experience required
• ASN required, BSN preferred
• Experience in CVICU patient care, CABG post-op care, vascular patient care, and ICU patient care required
• Epic charting experience required
• Level 1 Trauma experience required

Additional Information

• Perform hourly rounding and maintain a clean, organized work environment
• Complete initial patient assessments and develop individualized plans of care based on patient and family needs
• Implement and modify nursing interventions based on continuous evaluation of patient status
• Report and correct safety hazards to maintain patient and employee safety
• Collaborate with peers and healthcare team members to support professional development and continuity of care
• Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible (local candidates not accepted)
• RTO not to exceed 7 total days per 13-week contract
• Contingent workers may not remain on assignment longer than 1 year without a required 6-month break in service before returning
