• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,460 - $1,540
• Schedule: Every other weekend with some holidays
• Floating: Travelers are required to float as needed
• Charting System: Meditech

Job Requirements

• Active Texas RN license required; temporary license not accepted
• Minimum 2 years of hospital or specialty nursing experience
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications required
• NIH certification required
• Telemetry monitoring experience required
• Strong understanding of dysrhythmia interpretation and cardiac rhythm management
• Knowledge of cardiac medications and IV drip management, including insulin and heparin
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented clinical setting
• Experience with Meditech documentation preferred
• Professional communication, patient education, and de-escalation skills

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality telemetry nursing care to patients with cardiac and medical needs
• Monitor cardiac rhythms continuously and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition
• Manage IV insertions, lines, drains, and cardiac-related therapies
• Support post-care for cardiac catheterization, pacemaker placement or revision, and vascular surgery patients
• Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately in Meditech
• Use AIDET and other patient-centered communication techniques to enhance the care experience
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to promote safe, efficient, and compassionate care
• Follow unit policies, attendance expectations, and floating guidelines
