Travel Nurse Job Details

• Setting: Emergency Department (ED)

• Patient Population: Newborn, pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients
• Unit Highlights: 64-bed emergency department with triage, acute care, trauma, CDU, and psych areas
• Floating: Required
• Charge Role: Highly preferred
• Scrub Color: Navy blue

Emergency Room RN Job Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of Emergency Department or ER nursing experience, including some pediatric experience
• Previous travel nursing experience required
• Active New York RN license
• Current AHA ACLS, BLS, PALS, NIHSS, and TNCC certifications
• Experience with EPIC electronic medical record system
• Skills checklist matching specialty
• Valid driver’s license with an address matching demographics
• Resume must include travel nursing experience
• RTO must be included at time of submission
• Charge nurse capability strongly preferred
• Candidates must live at least 75 miles from the facility for travel consideration

Emergency Department RN Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality emergency nursing care to patients with conditions such as stroke, sepsis, trauma, MI, cardiac arrest, and respiratory failure
• Monitor and manage critical therapies including pressors, vasodilators, anti-arrhythmics, sedation, TNK, heparin, and insulin
• Use specialty equipment such as a rapid infusor and Arctic Sun as needed
• Assess, stabilize, and prioritize care for patients across all age groups in a busy emergency setting
• Collaborate with physicians, providers, and the care team to support efficient patient flow and safe outcomes
• Float when needed to support departmental needs
• Maintain accurate documentation and uphold Emergency Department standards of care
