Job Details

• Weekly Hours: 36 hours per week

• Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,250 - $2,370

• Schedule Notes: Every other weekend required; no self-scheduling; travelers may float to units within their competencies, including the ED Observation Unit

Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New York preferred at submission and required for auto-offer
• At least 1 year of Emergency Room nursing experience required; 2+ years preferred for auto-offer
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
• Prior travel nurse experience preferred, but not required
• Ability to work 12-hour night shifts and every other weekend
• Comfort working in a high-acuity emergency care setting with a diverse patient population
• Must be able to float within clinical competencies as needed

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality emergency nursing care to patients with urgent, chronic, medical, surgical, dental, and emotional needs
• Perform core ED duties including medication administration, IV starts, phlebotomy, EKGs, transports, drips, and infusions
• Assess, stabilize, and monitor patients experiencing illness or trauma in the Emergency Department
• Support safe and efficient patient flow in a busy 70-bed ED
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to deliver timely, compassionate care
• Provide care to mental health crisis patients as part of a dedicated crisis stabilization environment within the ED
• Maintain accurate documentation and follow established clinical and safety protocols
• Adapt quickly to changing priorities while delivering excellent patient care in a team-oriented healthcare setting
