Job Details

• Position: Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN)
• Type: Travel nursing assignment
• Location: York, Maine 03909
• Healthcare Setting: Operating Room, Perioperative Services, Circulation & Scrub
• Schedule: Monday through Thursday, 4 shifts per week
• Shift: 8-hour day shifts, 6:45 AM to 4:15 PM, plus call
• Hours: 36 guaranteed hours per week
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,120 - $2,230
• Start Date: 10/12/2026

Job Requirements

• At least 1 year of Operating Room nursing experience required
• Strong orthopedic OR experience required
• Experience as a circulating nurse and scrub nurse strongly preferred
• Active BLS certification required
• Active ACLS certification required
• Ability to work confidently in a fast-paced surgical and perioperative setting
• Strong teamwork, communication, and attention to detail

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care in the Operating Room
• Support surgical procedures as a circulating RN and scrub RN
• Assist with orthopedic cases and maintain a safe, efficient OR workflow
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and perioperative staff
• Maintain sterile technique and ensure patient safety throughout the surgical process
• Prepare the OR, assist with case setup, and support smooth transitions between procedures
• Participate in call coverage as scheduled
