Job Details

• Position: Registered Nurse – Med/Surg Telemetry Float Pool
• Location: Bridgeport, West Virginia
• Setting: Acute care / Med-Surg Telemetry Float Pool
• Employment Type: Travel RN assignment
• Shift Duration: 12-hour shifts
• Shift Schedule: Day shifts with every-other-weekend commitment; may include both day and night scheduling support within the float pool
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,180 - $2,290
• Charting System: EPIC
• Orientation: 1-2 shifts with a preceptor
• Floating: May float to multiple Med/Surg and stepdown units based on staffing needs

Job Requirements

• Active RN license eligible for a travel nursing assignment
• At least 1 year of recent acute care nursing or telemetry nursing experience required
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Ability to pass a cardiac rhythm interpretation exam
• Must be comfortable reading and interpreting telemetry strips
• Experience caring for Med/Surg and telemetry patients preferred
• Strong adaptability and confidence floating to different units
• Ability to work every other weekend and participate in the holiday rotation

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to a diverse Med/Surg Tele patient population
• Care for patients with conditions such as CHF, COPD, pneumonia, chronic renal disease, chest pain, orthopedic needs, and oncology-related diagnoses
• Monitor telemetry patients and accurately interpret cardiac rhythms
• Collaborate with charge nurses, CNAs, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team
• Float between designated inpatient units as assigned while maintaining safe, patient-centered care
• Complete patient assessments, administer medications, and document care in EPIC
• Support a steady workflow in a fast-paced acute care environment
• Maintain professionalism, flexibility, and excellent communication throughout the assignment
