Job Details
- Position: PACU / Pre-Op / Pre-Post Cath and Procedural Registered Nurse
- Location: Great Falls, MT 59405
- Employment Type: Travel Nursing Job
- Duration: 13 weeks
- Weekly Hours: 40 hours per week
- Shift Duration: 8-hour day shifts
- Schedule: 9:00 AM - 9:00 PM, days vary
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,250 - $2,370
- Start Date: September 8, 2026
- End Date: December 8, 2026
- Setting: Hospital-based perioperative and post-anesthesia recovery care
Job Requirements
- At least 1 year of PACU nursing, pre-op, or post-anesthesia care experience preferred
- Experience recovering both adult and pediatric patients in a clinical healthcare setting
- Active BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
- Strong flexibility with scheduling, patient flow, and perioperative assignments
- Ability to adapt to a variety of surgical and procedural cases
- Excellent communication, assessment, and critical thinking skills
Responsibilities
- Provide safe, compassionate recovery care for post-anesthesia patients
- Monitor patients throughout pre-op, PACU, and post-procedural recovery phases
- Care for adults and pediatrics across a broad case mix, including orthopedics, podiatry, ENT, urology, GYN, general surgery, plastics, endoscopy, ophthalmology, and cath-related procedures
- Assess patient status, manage recovery needs, and respond appropriately to changes in condition
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and perioperative team members to ensure smooth patient transitions
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and support high standards of patient safety
- Adapt to changing daily assignments while delivering excellent bedside care
