Job Requirements

• 1+ year of recent Med/Surg nursing experience required; 2 years preferred
• Travel nursing experience required
• Valid state or compact RN license required at time of submission
• Current BLS certification required
• Experience with Meditech charting required
• Strong clinical skills in adult and geriatric medical-surgical nursing
• Ability to work night shift and rotate weekends as scheduled
• Willingness to float within the hospital as needed within scope
• Two professional supervisory references completed within the last two years
• Travelers must live outside the local radius requirement

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to adult and geriatric Med/Surg patients in an acute care setting
• Complete comprehensive assessments, monitor patient condition, and respond to changes in status
• Administer medications, manage IV therapies, and support respiratory care as indicated
• Care for a wide range of medical and post-operative diagnoses on the medical-surgical unit
• Document accurately in the EMR and maintain clear communication with the interdisciplinary care team
• Assist with admissions, discharges, wound care, drains, chest tubes, and related unit procedures
• Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, and other healthcare professionals to support safe patient care
• Float to other units as needed while maintaining scope and quality of care
• Promote a safe, compassionate, and team-focused patient experience
