Job Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Minimum 1 year of current acute care hospital PCU experience
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
- Experience with cardiac monitoring, telemetry, and post-operative patient care preferred
- Meditech experience preferred
- NIH Stroke Scale knowledge or experience preferred
- Strong communication, teamwork, critical thinking, and multitasking skills
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality nursing care to Progressive Care Unit patients with varying acuity levels
- Monitor and assess post-operative, telemetry, and complex medical-surgical patients
- Care for patients recovering from surgical, cath lab, and specialty procedures
- Administer and monitor cardiac drips per unit guidelines and hospital protocols
- Collaborate closely with charge nurses, nursing assistants, and interdisciplinary care teams
- Respond quickly to changing patient conditions while maintaining safe patient ratios
- Support a culture of teamwork, adaptability, and excellent patient-centered care
